Our brokerage has a long history of serving California that dates back to 1965. The insurance market has changed significantly over the years. Many consumers feel that due to their lack of understanding, they're at the mercy of their broker. We make every effort to keep our clients informed to the changes within our industry that impact their insurance. This gives them the opportunity to make intelligent, informed decisions.

We have three offices in California. One in Whittier, another in La Quinta, and our newest one in Roseville. Our President, Don Barneson, has been a broker for over 20 years.

In his desire to expand, Don (my uncle), has opened this office in Northern California. Since he lives primarily in Southern California, he has given me the opportunity to run Finkemeier Insurance Services. 

My name is Wesley Finkemeier. I was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota (Go Vikings!), but I was raised here in the Granite Bay/Roseville area.  

After college, I worked in a bank and later moved into software sales. In both of these environments, I felt that there was more in store for my career. When thinking about what to do for my future, I called my uncle for advice and he suggested I look into the insurance industry. 

After considering my options, I took his advice, and worked shortly for Farmers Insurance. After a while, I started to realize some of the drawbacks of writing for only one specific carrier (StateFarm, Farmers, Allstate). The reason I work in insurance is because I want people to get the best coverage at the best price. As a brokerage, we are able to shop dozens of companies to make sure you get the best deal. If I cannot do that for you, I will point you in the right direction. 

To me insurance is not a “fun” thing but it is a necessity. I chose this as my career because I want to help people and build relationships. Insurance is an industry in which I can do both of these well.
